Home

-Written by Anna-

The last few days have been very full! Mom did not feel well for most of the week. We learned that our insurance had run out and began making preparations to bring Mom home. The days have been exhausting, the stress level at times high and yet tonight I can only say in spite of it all, He has brought Mom home! Tonight, exactly 12 weeks after this journey began we brought her home! A true miracle! Pray for us as we transition and adjust to a new normal once again. And pray for His continued healing touch on Mom!

  2. Yes, I am praying that God helps in all the details of Katy’s care, as if I were in her shoes and can imagine each movement and need. I cannot imagine the pain. I thank Katy for being as Jesus to me. I also pray for peace and knowledge for you caregivers. With love, Carole

  3. There is no better place to be than home. Katy, you must be ecstatic! And Stan and Anna…no more traveling back and forth. We know that there is still lots of hard work to be done and we will be praying for each of you as you continue to lean into Jesus and depend on his strength to meet your every need. We love you!

  4. I thank the Lord that you are home Katy! I believe that you will heal better and faster when you’re in your own home surrounded by the people that love you and care for you. I know that your family has been with you every minute since this started but somehow it’s easier to recuperate at home. Katy the Great, you are a gem. I love you and I’m so proud of you and I admire you.

  5. Katy, Katy, Katy!!!!! You are HOME!! HOME!! HOME!!!

I’m so happy. So scared! So relieved! Home is the place to be tho, to heal and to go forward.

I’m thinking of you with a smile on my face as you learn what its like to be at home in a new way. I’m praying for you with gratitude as you face things like not being able to do the normal things in your home that you used to, and trying to figure out new ways. I’m thinking of you and pleading with Jesus to give you a caretaker who will meet all your needs and see your needs before you know them yourself. I’m smiling as I think of you sinking into your own bed with a sigh and waking up to familiar light in your room, curtains on your windows and your own smells and trinkets and people and visitors and meals on plates you picked out and breezes in the open window (okay the last ONLY if its a good day). all that familiar is a healing balm too! much love, vera

  8. So thankful to our Heavenly Father for this next step. “Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below” Praising and thanking and so grateful….especially to actually see you in the picture and know that you are surrounded with love, more than you know. Pastor Stan often quoted James, with “every good and perfect gift cometh down from the Father above” and this is one you will never forget. I feel like you are like Moses coming down from the mountain and radiant with God’s glory. “Oh, to be like thee. Oh, to be like thee, precious Redeemer, pure as thou art. Come in the fullness. Come in thy sweetness. Stamp thine own image, deep on my heart” It is been stamped on yours and it is lovely to behold!
